TEACHA ELVA
She had a strap that had my name on it.
Won't tell you, what I did with it, I know she missed it.
She turned me on to the first aide in English.
Worked very hard with me and my penmanship.
At the younger years of my learning ability, she was there for me.
Cant say I am the best student of hers she favored Russell Mead.
Well, so I think, but we were all loved by her.
I realized that only a few people were meant to led at an early age.
Every time the other teachers would take me out of class.
I would find myself sitting next to her, even when break time pass.
This woman speaks without opening her mouth, the commander.
At kinsale primary school she was the first pioneer
In school agriculture and botany, we had the best flower garden.
Under her supervision we had Kinsale School Steel Drums.
Tutored by and with, Desmond Daley and Gertrude Shotte,
I played guitar pan.
She helped students after class to pursue different activities
It was because of her I got my Cambridge music certificate.
I have had the most fond memories with this pleasant lady and strap too.
She use to even use her car as an ambulance too.
Disgusting as we were then, falling out of trees and, etc.
If we could put a dollar for every life she has touched.
Just to establish the Teacher Elva fund.
To help desolate kids, that would be great.
Or even give her the big house on the hill, that will be great.
A great person who gave me ten years out of her life.
Gave so many others a chance on life.
She was not my relative, wife or girlfriend,
At that time, not even my friend.
Yet she showed me true love and respect
A true friend.
I may have my own ways, but it was they who showed me,
Which of my ways I must follow, that matters.
