FIGHTING THE LION
All this time I have spent trying to fight the lion
I should have been learning to tame it
Put it in a circus on a traveling circuit
Now my ass is filled with paw and teeth marks
I have learnt it.
You see me and the lion walking side by side
It's a common understanding.
We have reconciled our differences and misunderstandings
No need for fighting.
Got caught in the lions den to reclaim a wedding band
Found myself with two jaws around my hand
To my surprise, the lion winked his eyes
The thought crossed my mind, should I be a prisoner, a follower or a leader?
Flawed and dumb struck we where both blinking our eyes
After confrontation and negotiation we have made a compromise
The lion would still be a lion, I would still be me
However we both have learned and gained respect for each other
In this city and Savannah we need each other.
Why fight each other when we can benefit from each other?
I WONDER HAVE I FOUND HEAVEN?
